BARNACLE BILL'S: Fresh fish, fresh sign

Barnacle Bill's, at 2174 Northeast Highway 101 in Lincoln City, is sporting a fresh new sign to match their fresh fish.

The hanging fish bears their logo and reads "Lincoln City's original seafood market. Fresh local seafood." The sign will be a chance to display what the market has for fresh seafood that is easily seen from Highway 101. For years Barnacle Bill's has been displaying their specials on the south side of the building. But, Sean Edmunds, manager of Barnacle Bill's, said this sign will bring them greater opportunity.

"We wanted to do more than just put something up on the wall. It (the sign) is a reader board," he said. "It gives us an opportunity to show what we have that's fresh."

Edmunds said this was a good time of the year to get the reader board up since it is the season for a lot of fresh Oregon seafood. 

The new sign was installed Tuesday, June 16.
