Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to produce a sign?

Simpler jobs, such as banners, Corex signs, or boat numbers, can usually be fitted in between larger projects and reach completion in 2-5 business days. Moderately difficult projects may require about a week to ten days, and larger jobs may take up to three weeks or more. We take pride in ensuring that your project is completed correctly.

  • What materials are available for my sign project?

We have a selection of product samples available for you to view and feel. We will work with you to choose the right material for the job. The coastal environment can be tough on many materials, but longevity and exposure are considered when choosing a substrate to work with.

  • What kind of vinyl do you use?

Primarily, we use 3M 220 series cast vinyl for our cut vinyl graphics and Oracal vinyl for the digital printer.  It is important is that the correct material be chosen for a particular application; we can help with that! We also have available Avery vinyl, which has a nice color selection, and other vinyls which may be appropriate for short term projects.

  • How long will my banner or sign last?

The life of your sign will depend on the material you choose and the use of your sign.  We will recommend the best material for your sign project and budget.

  • What is your product guarantee?

Every sign carries the manufacturer’s guarantee on the substrates. More importantly, we stand behind our work and want you to be happy with the quality and design. The vinyl lettering has a life of 5-9 years before any yellowing, cracking or peeling will occur. With proper care and maintenance, we can make your sign look great for the length of its life. Please take a moment to read over the "Information Regarding..." section for more details.

  • How do I know what my sign will look like?

We show a proof for every project.  In the case of vehicle graphics, we photograph your vehicle and then superimpose the new graphics over your vehicle’s image so you can see exactly what your new and exciting “billboard” will look like! Newport Signs can start working on producing your project once you have approved the proof, which may be emailed or picked up in the shop at your convenience.

  • How much will my sign cost?

The cost of a sign depends on alot of factors, size, layout, complexity, materials and much more. The best way to get an idea is to give us a call or email us with your sign ideas / needs and we can come up with a proposal and discuss the project. We look forward to working with you.

  • Do you offer quantity discounts?

We offer volume discounts on most products.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept cash, checks, and credit card processing via Square for your added convenience.  We are able to process Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Furthermore, in the interest of customer privacy, we never retain credit card information.

  • Does my sign order include posts, frame, stakes, and other sign accessories?

Sign hardware, whether it be posts, frames, or brackets, are in addition to the project itself.  We try to include everything we’ll need for your installation on our quote. We also have these accessories available separately if you need them for other projects.
